News: CSF invites UNISAME members KARACHI: Manager Competitiveness Support Fund (CSF) Ahmed Afzal has invited members of Union of Small & Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) to avail the maximum benefits of the CSF. The CSF is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to upgrade the competitiveness of the Pakistan’s economy in order to respond to the new challenges and opportunities in the knowledge-based economy. The UNISAME whilst appreciating the steps taken by the Ministry of Finance for the establishment of the CSF has advised SMEs to apply for funds under the scheme. Zulfikar Thaver, President, UNISAME, said the CSF is a unique scheme whereby SMEs can modernise their units, improve their products, upgrade their systems, adopt latest technology, work on innovation and enhance productivity. He added that meetings were being arranged with CSF to educate members on the subject. He emphasised the need for SMEs to study both the BSF and the CSF and utilise both the funds diligently. |
